Due to current wildfire activity, TNG Emergency Services has activated its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) at a Level 1 (Monitoring) activation. Our team will continue to monitor the situation, coordinate with partner agencies, and provide support to Tsilhqot’in communities throughout the weekend and during evening hours as needed.

Smoke from nearby wildfires may impact air quality in some communities. If smoke is affecting your health or you require assistance, please contact your Band Office, which can help connect you with available supports and resources.

We would also like to remind all residents that if an Evacuation Order is issued by Chief and Council, it is essential that you leave immediately. Evacuation Orders are issued to protect lives, and delaying evacuation can place both our people and emergency responders at unnecessary risk.

The TNG Emergency Services Team continues to monitor wildfire activity affecting Tsilhqot’in traditional territory.

There are several active wildfires burning within Tsilhqot’in traditional lands; however, at this time, none are posing an immediate threat to Tsilhqot’in communities, homes, or critical infrastructure. BC Wildfire Service and partner agencies continue to monitor conditions closely and are actively working to limit fire growth and protect values at risk.

The TNG Emergency Services Team continues to monitor wildfire activity affecting Tsilhqot’in traditional territory.
