Tŝilhqot’in National Government: Employment

The objective of the Tŝilhqot’in Employment Department was to increase Tŝilhqot’in Peoples participation in the labour market.
TNG assisted clients with their employment goals and action plans, improving their employability and helping members achieve labour market self-sufficiency. TNG Employment Services was previously under contract with Cariboo Chilcotin Aboriginal Training Education Centre to deliver employment services to the six Tŝilhqot’in bands and its community members living on or off reserve.
Past Services
The following services were previously offered through the employment department:
- Career counselling and assessments
- Assistance with resumes and cover letters
- Job boards
- Job placements
- Referrals to training

- Assistance with post-secondary information and occupational research
- Workshops
- Resume Writing
- Interview Techniques
