Language

  1. The Tŝilhqot’in community of Xeni Gwet’in has shared their language on the First Voices platform that was developed by First Peoples’ Cultural Council. You can hear our language and see how we support language revitalization through online resources. 
  2. We have our own Tŝilhqot’in Radio station that broadcasts in our language. 
  3. Place names are an important part of our heritage and our connection to our nen (territory and resources).
  4. The video, Gagulhchugh Nen Gagusun (The land looks good all around), showcases both our language and beautiful territory.

Colonial History

  1. Understand the history of the Chilcotin War through the Lhatŝ’aŝʔin Memorial Day booklet or explore the school curriculum on the Chilcotin War.
